Catalyst and EdQuarter webinar - a look into the future of digital higher education

  • Catalyst hosted a webinar with Edquarter with partners, Chris Bonfield University of Bath and Neil Stapleton at Cambridge Judge University both learning technology experts in their field. Chris is Director for Centre of Learning and Technology at Bath and Neil is Digital Platform Manager at Cambridge Judge.
The webinar discussed the future of digital education, now classrooms as we know them are gone. We discussed what the student experience has meant post Covid19 and what we've learnt about digital provision, how to cater for students who prefer learning online, whilst still providing a first-class blended offering for those who desire the full campus experience.
Panellists discussed the challenges shifting to digital provision and how the pandemic has changed the way we study and what both students and higher education providers need to thrive in this new world.
The last 12 months has seen institutions across the entire education spectrum shift online at breakneck pace, not just once but multiple times as we bounced in and out of lockdown.
We explore the biggest challenges and hurdles the HE sector had to overcome in the digital space. Strategies these institutions implemented to rise to the challenge.
The difference and distinction between technology enhanced learning and a sage on the stage classroom model.
Tools and initiatives that were put in place for successful online learning.
The rapid shift towards digital and what this means for educators and institutions for the student experience post-pandemic.
